HoloBridge's story so far.....
The dream of immersive virtual worlds remained dormant in the founder's head for a long, long time.
In the late 80’s the World Wide Web
was not invented and
computers were just big electronic
typewriters. Andreas Lohaus was a
student living in Berlin. On a sunny
day his brother-in-law and him
were walking on the famous
boulevard Kudamm, when they
saw a long queue in front of an
unusual shop. After paying entrance
they were handed VR-glasses, then
climbed a little stage. They pulled
on the special headset with long wires over their eyes. Immediately they were shifted in a world of moving, colourful Pixel-cubes and balls. He was immersed in a breathtaking space that looked like a dream.
That first glimpse into the world of Virtual Reality is something he could never forget. That was one of the most intensive and touching experience he has ever had in his life. Unfortunately, the shop closed few months. It was too early for such a technology. The quality was low and the devices extremely expensive.
From that moment on, he has dreamt of creating a place where everyone could experience the immersion into electrifying digital worlds, walk through time and space and see the unseen.
Nowadays Virtual Reality is super-emerging, meant to be THE next Big Thing and many devices are developing.
HoloBridge gives you the opportunity to feel the same emotions and amazement Andreas Lohaus experienced for the first time more than 30 years ago - we make dreams come real.
